Since school, I've been...
I am a veteran of the US Army. I have several hours of formal education but not degreed, I am self educated. I just clocked my 30th year of federal government service and retirement is just around the corner. |
My family:
We currently reside in San Antonio, TX and have lived here for 27 years. Marty and I have been married for 30 years and have two of the greatest children. Curtis E. is 25 years old and married to the former Jennifer Reynolds. They are finishng their education and work for my wife fulltime. Erica N. is 24 and a graduate of the University of Texas @ San Antonio and currenty teaches science at a private school. |
Life experiences:
Next to my relationship with my wife and the birth of our children, I had a serious health issue in 2002 that I survived. In January of 2002 our world came tumbling down. I was diagnoised with renal cell carcinoma, kindey cancer. That was just the beginning, the cancer had matasisized to my colon, lungs and lymphatic system, I was given a 5 chance of surviving the year. One opinion recommended that I not even take treatment and prepare to meet my maker in a few months. This wasnt an option, for those that know me Ive always been a fighter. My treatment options were limited to one, immuno therapy, Il2, highly toxic, eats at the cancer like a packman. After four cycles of treatment and two near death experiences I have survived and returned to a very normal and heathly life. This was a life changing experience for me and my family. This single experience deeply rooted me in my family and extended family, as well as my faith. Everyday is good, some just better than others, this put an entirely different perspective on life for me. Although, I am a very serious person, I have really lightened up both in my family and work life, it reprioritized things. Enough of that, if you would like to know more or I can coach or assist you or someone that you know that may be suffering from this ugly decease, contact me. I have ministered to thousands both spiritually and other wise. I believe thats why God has spared me for the time being, to serve as an example of hope and live life to its fullest by supporting and coaching others. |
My favorite things in school:
Friends, football and parties.(the best parties were hosted at my parents home) Those parties would get parents arrested today, boy have the times changed. No one was ever killed or went to jail, man those were the days. |
My favorite things now:
We enjoy family and friends to the fullest. Marty and I have traveled the world a couple of times over, been to places and done things that most just dream of. I am an avid hunter and fisherman, the boys club, we have 180 acres 50 miles east of here. We enjoy snow skiing and visting the winter weather once a year. |
My favorite books, movies and music:
I still enjoy the music from the 70s and mid 80s and really enjoy smooth jazz. I am not really a movie buff, I am into all kinds of history. My favorite read is the greatest love story of all, the Bible. |
I work at:
I currently am employed by the US Postal Service. |
